Payette Lake - Mackinaw Update

We've been getting anxious for spring Chinook Salmon to show up, so we took part of the weekend to see how the lake game is. Saturday was great, getting in a few fish around 24' and 30'. The North End of the lake has been 10 degrees cooler than the middle, around 41 F and 50 degrees respectively. Mackinaw seem to be around 20-45 ft, jigging in the morning and trolling just before noon have been productive. Evening, they seem to be doing rotations around the sand bars looking for food where there's current. We even found some fish around 70' feet mid morning.
