Guided Chinook salmon fishing in Idaho is re-establishing itself as the phenomenal sport fishery that our parents and grandparents enjoyed 50 plus years ago. The last four years has provided the fishing public a chance to enjoy and share in the legendary Idaho salmon fishing experience that were only stories our parents passed down to us.
Now I know why they endured the extremely rough two tracked roads, traversed high mountain passes, and spend days traveling to their favorite "Glory Holes" in their "model A's" to get to these magnificent fish. What a LEGACY! I remember in awe my father returning from a two week salmon foray in the 1940's and early 50's and as a young child, the sight of those enormous fish that filled the back of trunk of his 48 Ford.
