Salmon River Opera
The Main Salmon River, also known as "The River of No Return", is the 2nd deepest canyon in the U.S., deeper than the Grand Canyon. It offers class III and IV rapids depending on the water flows and sections floated. You choose your level of difficulty.
- Deep River with big waves,very few stoppers, and good run outs
- Beautiful large sandy beaches
- Longest non dammed river in the lower 48
- Summer day time air temperatures are 80 - 90 degrees (F)
- Relative humidity is between 25 - 35%
- Water temperatures rise to low 70's (F) during warmest days - excellent for swimming
- 5-7pm canyon shadows make for ideal camping and sleeping temperature
