"Met your Senator Crapo in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday for breakfast. I told him of our Idaho trip and that you were the best place in the Riggins area." Tim P.- Ohio

The Last Resort Lodge sits on the banks
of the Little Salmon River. A leisurely stroll from the back deck,
and you can be casting your fly to a feisty rainbow.
|
|
25 miles as the crow flies, puts you
in either the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area or the Idaho
Primitive Area. It is easy to find - as we are on the only highway,
road, horse trail, or deer trail that links north and south Idaho.

We have 3 guest rooms with individual bathrooms and in-room T.V.'s. Each room has its own decorative theme - the Fish room, the Big Game room and the White water room. There is also another overflow bedroom without it's own bathroom that we call the Upland game room. All rooms but the wastewater room have taxidermy displays.

The main lobby and dining rooms are adjacent
to the kitchen and bed rooms. There is a mud/gear room to change wet or
soiled clothes, hang waders, tie flies, fix gear, etc. The 4 bedrooms
each have doors leading into the lobby, and the 3 main bedrooms also have
french doors opening onto a large deck with a hot tub.

We have a large landscaped yard, and a small
kennel for hunting dogs. Large pine trees are part of the very picturesque
mountain setting.

The cuisine is western, with dutch ovens and
barbecue. We cook from scratch, making our own breads and desserts. The
focal point of our meals is a 106 year old sourdough start that is second
to none.

|
The lodge is also available for seminars or other
special events. Open year round.
