Within one hour, you can be taking a picture of a prickly pear cactus or vertical desert scene; an within another hour… composing pictures of an alpine meadow lily or mountain vista. You can be taking a picture of a Golden Eagle at an elevation of 1800’ above sea level in its vertical desert environ and then a Blue Grouse at elevations of up to 9400’ above sea level amid granite peaks and glacial valleys. However, it may be difficult for you to pass up all the micro-environments along the way and the diversity of species and geology they all present.
